It gives you safety - Clans never attack foreigner whose with their friends.

CLANS:

There wasnt army in the history of the world, which could conquest pashtun clans. From Alexander the Great, British colonialists, until Soviets - nobody can win in this area, against those fighters.

For Pashtuns, death doesnt matter. Only important is their honor.

WHERE IS OSAMA?

At the fall of 2001, Coalition Forces sorrounded Al-Qaida fortress in Tora Bora in Afghanistan. It was then, that Osama bin Laden, with about 50 guards escaped to the clan area. Since then, its nothing sure about him.

Actually, if you want to hide, its hard to find better place in this planet.
